I am a biochemist with an emphasis in organic chemistry. I have had experience in organic synthesis labs under the supervision of Dr. Hudlicky of Brock University as well as Chemical Biology under my thesis supervisor Dr. Vincenzo De Luca of Brock University. My background is mainly in secondary metabolism of plants, mainly Catharnathus roseus or the Madagascar periwinkle where my research goals were related to metabolic pathway elucidation of monoterpenoid indole alkaloids (MIA). More recently my focus in research has been shifting to an ecological perspective of secondary metabolism and its role in inter-species relationships.
