Mr. Omara Tom is a Ugandan born from Angwecibange village, Dokolo sub County in Dokolo District. Mr. Omara Tom works as Research Assistant since 2000 with Root Crops Program, National Crops Resources Research Institute of National Agricultural Research Organization. He holds BSc. Honors degree in Horticulture of Makerere University in 2006. As he pursues his carrier, Mr. Omara is especially very passionate about crop entomology work (specifically cassava whitefly studies) but broadly, likes working with conservation of ecosystems. Mr. Omara Tom has vast experience in conducting trainings, surveys on crop pests and diseases and also socio-economic studies. Mr. Omara has co-authored several peer reviewed papers and training manuals during his career with NARO. Mr. Omara is currently in his final year of pursuing MSc. degree in Agro Ecology at Uganda Martyrs University- Nkozi in Uganda
