Adriana Bohorquez-Chaux, from Colombia did her Ph.D. studies at National University from Colombia. She has worked at CIAT since 1997 in the Agrobiodiversity Area. CIAT is a nonprofit research organization that develops technologies to support international agriculture to reduce hunger and poverty and preserve natural resources in developing countries. As a member of the Group of Genomics Adriana is focusing on standardization and improvement of molecular techniques useful for mapping genes. her work has focused on the study of cassava-whitefly interaction using functional genomics tools like Microarrays and Next-Generation sequencing and Bioinformatics; and the development and standardization of efficient methods for phenotyping of whitefly resistance in cassava.
