Junbo Luan received his BSc in Plant protection and MSc in Entomology from Shenyang Agriculture University, China and PhD in Entomology from Zhejiang University, China. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Zhejiang University with Professor Shu-Sheng Liu and Xue-Ping Zhou and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel with Professor Henryk Czosnek. In 2013 he joined the lab of Professor Angela Douglas at Cornell University as a postdoctoral researcher. He has extensive experience in whitefly study including whitefly-begomovirus-plant interactions, whitefly-begomovirus interactions, whitefly transcriptomics and RNAi as well as whitefly mating interactions. Currently, he focuses on whitefly-symbiont interactions.
